Whether your a PRS competitor competing against the best in the world, or trying to fill that once in a lifetime bighorn sheep tag in BC, shooters around the world are relying on custom rifles to get the job done. It would be disingenuous to say that a factory rifle isn't capable of getting the job done. So why take on the increase in cost and lead time?
Custom rifle components manufacturers are at the forefront of innovation in the world of long range precision shooting. Brands like Impact Precision, Manners Composites, Defiance Machine, and many more manufacture the highest quality components that allow us at Swift Creek Rifles to build truly bespoke tools for YOU and your ventures.....not what we think is going to sell to the masses. Each and every customer has specific needs, and going with a dedicated factory rifle lends itself to compromise somewhere along the line. Want a 7PRC capable of converting to a .45cal smokeless muzzleloader in 2-3 minutes? We can do that. We take the time to determine your exact needs, and maybe even explore some things you didn't know were possible to deliver a rifle to you that exceeds all your expectations.
From a raw performance standpoint....a well made custom rifle with custom ammo will outperform factory rifles with factory ammo EVERY. TIME. The tolerances we are able to hold are fractions of what is coming off that assembly line of your favorite large scale manufacturer. Our components are meticulously inspected and corrected to ensure minimal points of failure while executing the necessary work. We isolate every variable, and take definitive measures to eliminate them when possible, as this is the name of the game in precision.
Take for example a factory Remington 700 action. The picatinny rail has 4 fasteners (points of failure), the face of the action, recoil lug, and shoulder of the barrel consist of 4 mating surfaces (receiver-recoil lug, recoil lug-barrel shoulder), and a trigger that requires a hammer/punch kit to replace. Our Tomahawk and AiRROW actions (Impact Precision) completely eliminate the fasteners on the rail, by integrally machining the rail into the receiver. This eliminates the 4 points of failure in the fasteners as well as the mating surface of the rail to the receiver. The integral recoil lug cuts the number of mating surfaces from barrel to receiver in half by shouldering the barrel directly to the integral lug. The triggers are installed via a trigger hanger assembly that allows trigger swaps with just a torx wrench, as well as the ability to utilize different trigger hangers to perfectly time the trigger. Minimal points of failure, minimal variables.
Nobody likes an ugly rifle. So we also cater the appearance of your rifle to what YOU want it to look like. Want the barrel spiral fluted, with the inside of the flutes matching the bolt, and the rest of the barrel matching the receiver body? Or the bottom metal matching all the rails with the fasteners a different color? How about custom laser engraving of the date you harvested your dream animal, or a QR code you can scan with your phone to pull up an elevation calibrated DOPE chart out to 1200 yards? ANYTHING is possible. So don't hesitate to ask!
The ammo you feed your rifle is just as important as the build itself. If you tell us the exact bullet you wanna shoot......we can utilize the correct reamer when cutting the chamber. and go through a meticulous load development process to ensure you are feeding your rifle a scientifically crafted product that is real-world proven and observed to perform the very best out of your rifle.
In the grand scheme of things, Custom Rifle Builders and Gunsmiths are competing against massive manufacturers for your business. They may have the flashy marketing campaigns and supply chains that deliver decent products at good value....but the passion for our craft and dedication to our customers is what enables us to deliver EXCEPTIONAL products that are invaluable to our end-users.
